- have a printed periodic table that includes molar masses rounded to the tenths place and color-coded classifications (e. g. Alkaline Earth Metals, Lanthanoids, Metalloids, Halogens, etc. ) - bring a regular or scientific calculator, a pencil, and an eraser - always use a pencil or other erasable writing utensil while doing practice problems - fill out the notes in full so you can reference them later - don't be afraid to make mistakes, ask questions, and make educated guesses - keep an open mind and accept scientific facts as facts

Class of 2023
The labs are fun and helpful, and the classes are well-suited for science nerds who like objectivity and strictly factual reasoning. Chemistry is based on math and not personal opinion, and Ms. Veigel is good at using this to her advantage by explaining rules and mathematical constants in plain, easy-to-understand lessons that make her students feel like they can do anything just by memorizing some equations. She also gives plenty of opportunities to see and use the techniques in context through the practice problems and labs (including online labs) that make up the bulk of the work assigned in her classes, so you can expect to have any and all confusion eliminated in no time. I feel prepared for future science courses and possible careers within this field, and I'm confident in the skills I've learned in her honors chemistry class.
