This class was very hard for me, no doubt about it. No knock on Hevel tho, he is a phenomenal teacher and it is clear that he knows what he's talking about and he has a passion for chemistry. I had him virtually which was unfortunate because I feel I did not gain a strong conceptual base for everything. When 4th quarter rolled around my grades and my knowledge in chemistry were in ruins. I attended after-class Zoom meetings and Hevel's ability to help is something I will be thankful for. Because of him, I don't have to take chemistry in college and I am grateful for that :)

This is the first class I almost didn't pass, chemistry is not my strength. The class environment is pretty relaxed, and I found the content boring. Luckily, Hevel has a good sense of humor and always made an effort to have moments of fun every class. It is up to you whether you pay attention in class or not, and since he is not strict it is easy to get lost in another conversation rather than focus on the lesson. I made a lot of friends in this class, so it was hard to stay on track- but on the plus side the class environment was always collaborative and whenever I needed help there were always many people willing to help me out.
