My advice is to actually take the notes when it's assigned as homework because it really won't take long at all and it'll go a long way in preparing you for the discussions in class. Also, try to be involved in the class discussions because you may be graded on participation. And don't depend on finding tests online because Ms. Mansoor doesn't get the tests off the online versions. You should definitely use those as study guides though.

This class is biology I recommend taking notes on each book chapter and doing the questions at the end of each chapter to get a good idea of what you are doing. You should also reference the materials Ms. Mansoor has on google classroom and on ilearn. Mostly for me the powerpoints help if you don't have time to read straight from the book use them they have great examples. The test material is learned at home and we have class discussions on them to clear up any misconceptions I recommend paying attention to those.

Biology can be a very fun and exciting subject, and in Ms. Mansoors class, keeping up with the reading and homework is essential to succeeding and really getting the most out of the class. Also, some days, we have really meaningful and insightful conversations on the topic we are learning, which not only helps with comprehension, but it also helps bring up interesting points that you may not have thought about, since you're able to hear from the perspectives of all your peers. Putting in a lot of effort when completing the assigned textbook notes is crucial as well, because when you take good notes, going back and reviewing for tests (and especially finals!! ) becomes a breeze, since you've already laid out the main points of the chapter. Personally, I would recommend writing the vocabulary words on a separate sheet of paper, that way during the class discussions, you have a sheet to quickly refer to if you get confused, and you can memorize them more easily without having to go through the entire chapter again. The last thing I would advise is to take advantage of all the extra credit opportunities!! Ms. Mansoor is always giving out chances to raise your grade, and taking advantage of these opportunities will greatly benefit you in the future (and maybe even teach you something new)!

A piece of useful advice to help you succeed in this class is that you should do their work when you are supposed to, so you can understand the concepts discussed in class. I highly prefer engaging in the discussions that Ms. Mansoor develops because speaking orally of what you know helps you have greater comprehension in the topic being discussed.

Ms. Mansoor is a wonderful teacher and a phenomenal person, and any time her students need help of any kind- whether its biology or even college related, she is always more than willing to help and give advice. Additionally, Ms. Mansoor is very compassionate and engaging with her students, and makes sure her classroom is a comfortable setting where everyone feel like it's ok to struggle because they will always receive support. She always comes into class with a smile on her face and sets the happy mood for the rest of her students, getting everyone excited to learn. The futures of her students are among Ms. Mansoor's top priorities, and she always make sure we have access to all resources, on platforms such as google classroom and learn, in order to help us achieve our goals and excel in her class. All in all, Ms. Mansoor is the epitome of a remarkable teacher due to her compassion, dedication to her students' success, and uplifting attitude, which she reflects every single day in the classroom, making her every students favorite teacher!

Ms. Mansoor's class overall is an amazing learning environment for students. She does not just throw information at the students, she teaches in a way that makes the students think deeply on the concepts being covered. In this class, we have interesting class discussions that I personally enjoy being a part of. Participating in class discussions and orally expressing what you know about the topic helps unleash a greater comprehension on the topics being discussed, which is what Ms. Mansoor encourages in this class. These class discussions also teach us deeper thinking skills and higher level thinking questions, which is useful since all classes require deep thinking. Another thing we do that enhances our learning is group work. This teaches us cooperative skills and also allows us to have fun learning at the same time. My personal favorite thing about Ms. Mansoor is that she not only wants us to learn biology, but she also wants us to be more prepared for the success she sees in our future. She applies skills needed to pass the SAT into our coursework and informs us of opportunities that can benefit our learning. All these ideas combined gives me hope of success in my future and thanks to Ms. Mansoor for making learning entertaining and beneficial for students. :)
