My advice is to actually take the notes when it's assigned as homework because it really won't take long at all and it'll go a long way in preparing you for the discussions in class. Also, try to be involved in the class discussions because you may be graded on participation. And don't depend on finding tests online because Ms. Mansoor doesn't get the tests off the online versions. You should definitely use those as study guides though.

The class that I had with this teacher was AP Computer Science Principles and the class went great! This class is for those who have a beginner level of understanding of the computers and technology in general. The class is really project-based so you will gain a lot of knowledge and experience from the projects that you do. The thing you will have to memorize a lot of is the pseudocode for the AP Exam, which this class's goal is to prepare you for. The tests that are given in class are oriented so that they look similar to the AP CSP Exam itself, which is nice because you get familiarized to the AP Test format. You will also have to do a Create Task in this class which is part of your AP Exam along with a 70 Question Multiple Choice Test which is worth (as of writing this) more than 50% of your AP Exam grade [Note: Your AP Exam grade is separate from your class grade]. Overall this class is fun though.

[Note: I had Integrated Math with this class]. This class can become really brutual if you forget something during a test or if you forgot to do homework. The homework isn't worth 4 points or more like the other classes. The homework is worth only 1 point. Imagine spending so much time on the homework, just for 1 single point. This class also has a no-late-work policy (unlike other classes) so if you don't complete the time-consuming homework by when it's due, you could be in a bit of trouble. The quizzes in this class can be really challenging and the teacher will give very little information about them (unlike other classes). A day before a quiz there will be no study guide provided and the teacher will give homework that is not related to what's going to be on the quiz the next day. This class tries to pretend to be a college class, but it forgets that it's meant to be a math class for 9th Graders who just entered High School.
