Figure out what kind of writing Ms. Giddings likes, then write that way. She will take points off if it isn't written in the style she likes. Cycle quizzes are easy with just a bit of studying.

Her grading system is poor at best. She uses standards based grading, which essentially means that your grades change with the direction of the wind. Also, she is not thorough when grading writing assignments, frequently taking points off for matters which she previously says that she would not, believing certain terms to be invalid when the source material uses them, misinterpreting clear pieces of analysis, taking more points off than necessary (i. e. minor mistakes losing you half the credit in a category), etc.
