This class teaches you life skills like trouble shooting issues rather than memorizing unnecessary facts. I would describe this class as fun, chill, and unique!

Keep in mind that English is in part from Latin-- if you memorize the derivatives, you'll be good for vocab

Read the book and review summaries to be prepared for any pop-quizzes. He is passionate about analysis, so engage with the teacher about your thoughts on the book. If possible, talk with the teacher about things outside of the subject of English (ie. sports, worldly affairs, etc. ) since he has many interests outside of English.

As a student in his multivariable calculus class, I would suggest you learn the material on your own and spend your time in class sleeping, drawing, or reading discreetly. Class usually consists of him mumbling at his ipad so you are better off studying from the textbook alone. If you have questions, ask a friend or ask AI. He usually points you to the textbook anyway. ALSO DO THE POSTED WORK DURING CLASS TIME IF HE'S OUT!!! He is the only teacher who will mark you absent if you don't do the deltamath/webassign during class time. Ask me how I found out. And in general, math is cool so don't let his negativity get to you :)

All optional work is very helpful for studying for tests / quizzes. Her Accelerated classes have more writing than her Honors classes. In her Accelerated class, she grades papers like an English teacher, which makes it significantly more difficult to get an A. In her Honors class, there is less writing analysis, which makes it easy to get an A.

Do the practice problem sets, you will learn the different types of problems that will come up on the test. Tests are hard but the scale is very generous.
