this class is very writing and project heavy which i'm sure you anticipated. the class is easy with few quizzes thankfully. projects are always done in class, usually in groups so don't worry about excessive homework. usually the homework is to read essays and take notes or write a prompt afterwards. super easy and doable. DO NOT procrastinate the personal essays to the last minute because you can't think of an idea, just use a seed journal and start writing. or look up fun prompts online. his advice on essays is very helpful and if you don't understand what he meant, just ask him. he loves helping students and is always up to a chat about your writing. and don't worry about your writing not being good enough. i thought that way too, but the truth is, the writing just needs to exist. let the words flow and fix them after. write about literally anything and he will be excited about it and proud of you. don't overthink it, oftentimes the only one reading your writing is you. you can choose to share with the class but it's optional. and he can't read everything you write since it's a writing course. so just think of everything as fun practice that you don't need to worry about. good luck!

check him out on spotify and ask about his music. he only started recently and is very proud of it. he is a very creative teacher and will often "experiment" with new projects and learning ideas. that means that there won't be a rubric, so just do your best. chances are, he will give you a good grade since he doesn't know what he's looking for in your project.
