memorization is key for this class. also make sure you understand the pattern for pop quizzes; they are not "pop" once you understand his pattern. also little to no test review, so that must be done on your own.

His Latin Prose class technically requires you to know the basics of Latin, but honestly most of the students were very below average. We did not know case endings or how to decline a verb. If you can recognize the different tenses and can remember a good amount of vocab, you will do fine in this class.

memorize everything! his pop quizzes are not too difficult if you know MOST of what it'll be on. he gives a lot of work, but he WANTS his students to succeed so never hesitate to ask for help. go to his tutoring sessions if needed, they can be really helpful especially before a test because he doesn't do much test review. it is a very boring class, you just sit there and listen to him talk all period. however, make sure you're listening because everything he says is actually useful and will benefit you. his tests are mostly multiple choice and pretty easy plus he curves all of them. like I said, he wants his students to do well and succeed so if everyone bombs a quiz he will scrap it and his test curves are very very fair. he is very strict about his rules but as long as you follow them youre fine. overall, a chill (and very funny) teacher. super approachable too, answers every question with interest and never seems like he doesn't want to help you.

He is a good person who will always make time for you if you are struggling. Don't be afraid to ask for help.

Mr. Finnigan is the best! I had him last year and while he is very strict, he is still nice, he's funny, and he is an amazing teacher.
