Class of 2029
-Pay attention to the lectures. Ik they may seem boring and useless but the topics she covers verbally do show up in her tests/quizzes. It can sometimes be really interesting if you are somewhat into the language and the history and pay close attention. -Reach out for help asap. She is very willing to assist students but only if you take initiative. -Participate as much as you can, even if you get something wrong. It builds up your relationship with her a lot better. -She is a strict teacher but not an unfair one. She will be brutal in grading tests/quizzes, but she will not hold anything against you if you get something wrong. Try your best, learn from your mistakes, and over time, you will adapt to it.

The best advice I can give for her class is to make sure you are able to pay attention to EVERYTHING talked about. You need to be very independent and organized, you will not receive help unless you advocate for it yourself. The tests can be extremely difficult and very specific to things mentioned in the lectures, so if note-taking will help you focus and memorize I highly recommend doing so. This class is mostly discussion based, rarely has homework, and requires a very good understanding of the basics of Latin (declensions, conjugations, tenses, mood, all Latin grammar). If you are a visual learner I'm warning you now you will struggle, make sure you are frequently communicating with the teacher and being honest about your struggles because she will help you out if you do that. Be sure to keep track of your assignments yourself, as she doesn't always post them online, but sometimes does. Aside from that, the curriculum in this class can be very fun and interesting at times, good luck!
