- make sure you actually understand the concepts beyond memorization; she teaches a lot of memorization but understanding how the formulas are derived on your own is something that I HIGHLY recommend to help prepare you for tests - the class gives you free reign on your computer - use that to your advantage! (you can do work for other classes, but I recommend doing some math to prepare you for the tests - you should try to look through the week's classwork each week; she posts all the material for the week on Google classroom
Class of 2025
- There is a lot of self-studying required so be prepared to learn and work independently - There is one group project every term - There have been some instances where we have been tested on material that has not been covered in class or covered very little - Very lecture-like class - No fixed day and time for office hours

There will be many instances where she will sit at her desk and solve problems on the projector. During this you are allowed to use your laptop, phone (she has never noticed), and probably whatever device you have on hand. She has never called anyone out on it, which means that most people are distracted by their device and not paying attention to what might be useful for upcoming assessments. It is YOUR JOB to pay attention and take notes, because there is no system set in place to make sure everyone’s doing that. Additionally, office hours completely depend on her schedule and what she’s doing that week so it changes every week. Mrs. Davis is a very funny and kind woman but her teaching style is very different from what one might be used to at BLS.
