The self-assessments are everything. They count for a lot, and are a lot less lenient than the tests. DO THEM IN GROUPS! Oh, and the CK-12 info, NEVER TAUGHT IN CLASS is on the test.

I would tell them to listen to every word, actually read the homework, and most importantly know everything about the topic even if the teacher has not taught it.

Please be sure to prepare well for his projects as they count more than anything in his class. Be sure to read ALL directions and answer EVERY SINGLE QUESTION THOROUGHLY as he always takes off points for reasons like "Not focused on the questions" or "Need to explain it better. " Also, don't even bother asking him questions outside of class as he never responds via email and demonstrates a stunning unwillingness to answer them.

Next to no review in class, very hard to understand the concepts and the teacher will not help. It’s really up to you whether you pass this class or not. A lot of the work/tests may be textbook based but there are also details that may be glossed over in class that will be included on tests. Prepare yourself.
