Cesar's classes are engaging and different. We read about interesting things and watch a variety of videos/documentaries relating to the topic we are studying. I like how the classes are largely discussion-based, and he lets us talk in small groups very often, which is helpful in understanding the reading, video, etc.
ORGO STUDENTS: Don't take the class unless you really love chemistry. Memorize the functional groups quickly. Make flashcards early on in the format of box problems and write some information about the reaction being used on the back of them. The tests are worth more as you go on, so it is ok if you have a rough start. GENCHEM STUDENTS: Take notes, understand dimensional analysis super early, memorize a few key concepts and the rest of it becomes pretty simple.
