Keep your class paperwork organized, Make sure you write down when things are due. Don’t expect due dates to always be online.

Review before a test and don't forget about them -- they're not that hard if you look through the slides before each test. Just a simple look-over will do.

AP US History is not a bad class. However, you will not benefit much from reading the textbook. Instead, read the chapter summaries from MacMillian and use them on the open note quizzes. The chapter quizzes do not help with your understanding of the overall APUSH course material and the ones later in the year do not relate to what you read in the book. You spend most of the class taking notes and working on projects. Otherwise, you'll have tests and FRQs. Good luck!!!!!!!!

Honestly, there is a good amount of writing for your labs. However, you have to think logically and pay attention in class and the class will become very simple for you. Mr. Bitler is also very open to help and very kind. He helps you understand the material and you shouldn't be scared to ask questions to him as he is a really nice teacher and doesn't get mad at dumb questions and understands it is clarifying questions most of the time.

Molecular Biology was a decent class. You'll spend half of the classes doing lectures, about 10% of classes doing labs, and the rest of the time doing worksheets/assignments to support what you learned in class. I found the assignments to be a bit tedious and graded harshly. Many times kids didn't know what was going on with the assignments. However, you will benefit from the skills and knowledge you learn from this class to support a Biotechnology/STEM internship. You should expect to spend 3 hours a week doing homework for this class. Have fun!!!!!!!!

AP Lit is not a bad class. You'll be spending most of your time (homework) reading or doing accompanying assignments with what you read or what was discussed in class. You'll have class time to work on assignments so homework is mostly reading. The timed writing schedule may feel intense at first (you'll have four timed writings in a row spread across four weeks) and may feel more intense once you're burned out from college apps in quarters 2-4, however, you will be well prepared for the AP Exam. You'll need to spend additional time doing multiple choice as not always do you get enough practice in-class. Great class to take senior year!!!!!!!!

Sometimes the tests are easier than what you do during class but other times they're harder. The Honors Precal department puts tests/quizzes only in the 90% category and nothing else so it's difficult to get an A, but doable.

If the prompt says "figurative language, " give an example of figurative language in your response (metaphor, simile, hyperbole, etc. ), and don't just repeat "figurative language. " Specificity is important.
