There are frequent in-class discussions, so it's important to always take thorough notes on the topic material. Always check the rubric when writing essays to make sure you meet all of the requirements, and don't overlook anything. Reading is assigned in chunks, rather than chapters assigned everyday, so manage your time.

She's a very tough grader, but if she likes you, she will try to bump up your grade at the end of a quarter. Just be very nice, and make a real effort in your work to show that you care, and that'll be enough for her to like you or at least not dislike you.
