Make sure to pay attention to the assignments and modules, as they are not always explained in class.

The class itself is fine, not particularly difficult assuming you passed middle school science. There is a good diversity of work and activities, with varying levels of effectiveness.

He gives tons of grades so just make sure to do the work because at the end of the quarter the tiny assignments you don't do will add up.

you're gonna have to learn the how and why behind your code, don't expect to get by just coding.

Make sure you study as someone who failed this class in semester 1, but got A's in semester 2. Studying really helped me out. Also, make sure you memorize things a lot AND get help if you need it.

Pay attention and take notes. 95% of the classes will be Mr. Kingman lecturing for half the period or sometimes the whole period. Otherwise, you'll be spending the other half of the period doing a lab activity, which are usually pretty easy. The tests should be straightforward if you paid attention during class and asked questions.

Retake any test you do poorly on it's really easy. Pay attention and take notes during the lecture portions. Do all the work because it's good practice even if it's not graded.

Just pay attention during class and participate! I had him for honors English, and it was pretty much the easiest class I had all day. There would be some reading assignments here and there, but they were pretty easy. Mr. Traver grades very leniently and just wants you ot succeed.

Pay attention during class. That's all you need to do. Mr. Yu is great at explaining the nuances of biology and lecturing on everything you need to know. No need to self-study outside of class if you pay attention, which isn't that hard.
