If you feel behind then by far the best way to catch up is to come to his class in the morning. He comes there every day (except wednesdays) at around 7:05-7:10 and it gives you a good amount of time to do your work without going into support.

Make sure you understand the code you are writing. If you do, it is an easy A. Sometimes this may require coming in outside of class.

He's a good teacher who's really nice, except for when you come in late, in which he will get really angry and might even call your parents on the spot. He's very observant and if he notices you're struggling or the entire class is struggling then he will make sure to re-walk you through the topic

He is a funny and nice guy, is fairly knowledgable, and will make sure you understand what he is teaching.
