Class of 2027
just stay on your work. i had a pretty rough time in this class but it was 100% my fault, not his. it's easy to let bigger projects get away from you when you have more time to do it, and i would do other work during class that was due more recently. read a ton of example essays, pinpoint the things you like, + apply it to your own work.
Class of 2023
The class itself is very rigorous and oftentimes overwhelming. However, it's an interesting class and is very useful in getting better at writing essays and doing so in a short time span. I think the class is helpful especially for those looking to go to college, because it prepares you for college classes and college assignments.
Class of 2020
Essays are more important than exams. Anderson assigns FRQs and Multiple Choice Questions on AP Classroom to prepare you for the AP test. However, Anderson offers no help or instruction on these assignments and frankly, they are used as an opportunity to hurt your grade. If you are able to keep up with work, do well on essays, and stay organized (Despite Anderson's horrible organization on Google Classroom) then you will be able to pass the class fine. The essays are also graded VERY harshly. I recommend asking Anderson for an outline on how to write the essays, especially the Rhetorical Analysis essays. I made an outline and for every essay I wrote with that outline, I did very well.

a lot of people have issues with him because he's just on top of stuff. class is incredibly useful and def helped me, even if i didn't like a lot of the work. some of the major projects were really fun
