try to focus on figuring out DBQ/LEQ formulas in the beginning so you don't have to worry about structure when writing your essay, the textbook is overcomplicated and talks about a ton of stuff you do not need to know so rely on jocz for chapter notes and heimler for test study stuff. the lectures he gives in-class are very important and touch on key details he might include in quizzes or tests so take detailed notes on those more than anything.

Instead of using the textbook to take notes watch the apushexplained video for that chapter, take notes on that, then speed-read the textbook to add extra important details and key terms

great guy loved his class. super engaging and still manages to seem passionate about the class even though he's been teaching for over a decade
