Don't memorize the english... If you want to retain your grammar skills by 11-12th year, you're gonna have to practice on your own. He expects you to know all the ins and outs of grammar by then and doesn't really take the time to go over it again.
His chemistry class is pretty touch if you’re not the best at math or science, but he really makes an effort to make it as understandable as possible.
