Homework’s don’t count towards your grade. Quizzes and labs are formative (at least when I had her). Quizzes are almost always pop quizzes. Tests are the only summative so be careful with tests.

He offers test corrections where it would go in as an extra summative grade. Slowish grader however he is coaching cross country and track so he does get busy after school. You’ll be doing quite a few presentation projects but they’re lightly graded and are mostly summative which is good.

I’m had for 2 courses so it you have for Info Tech here you go: the course is just going over Microsoft word, PowerPoint, and excel. The material is light. All assignments are summative but that doesn’t mean anything when all of them are. For submitting assignments you have to put them in a file on the desktop which Mrs. Kumar can access. Principles of Finance: for this course you will be going over basic stuff about finance including the federal reserve. There are 3 projects. One where you will go to a bank and interview an employee about the banking system and how they work. The second is a research paper on Fintech companies (e. g. PayPal, Chime). These 2 projects are paired together where in the presentation for the bank you will include 2 slides on the fintech. The third project covers a part of the federal reserve. There are 6 topics and you will be assigned one in a group of 4 roughly. Research and present. Tests are summative and all assignments in class and homework are formative. Unlike her husband Dr. K, Mrs. Kumar is pretty strict with due dates.

The class overall presents a challenging learning environment. Do use of homework, and use activity and teacher instruction is beneficial to the learning process. That being said there is a bit of problem within her instruction which we’ll get to in the next question.

Do your homework the day its assigned because if not you will have too much to do on the last day and you'll be stressed because some nights she gives 12 pages of homework and you will cry. The quizzes are easy and some questions are from the homework so if you understand the homework you'll do ok. ay.
