Be friendly with him. He will like you a lot better, he loves to talk. Even if you aren't that friendly with him, he will be very helpful if you need any help.

Mr. Ayer’s is an ABSOLUTELY AMAZING teacher and his class is so fun! I enjoyed every second of the class and I wish it was full year. He doesn’t assign much homework, but there is definitely enough work to keep you busy during class. A tip is to talk a lot, this makes it so much more fun and you will enjoy it so much more. Also, definitely ask to watch “In Treatment” because that show was the BEST! It’s literally been 2ish months since our class ended and I miss it so much!! I can guarente that this class will be your favorite!

ask questions, take time outside of school to understand the content (the teacher's notes aren't all that helpful). sort of difficult, requires memorization of formulas, reactions, and rules, also of the exceptions to those rules. she doesn't take late cred, and her worksheets take longer than a morning bus ride so prioritize the chem homework for sure

The exams and classwork is a little hard but you really just need to pay attention and everything will make sense. I absolutely loved Ms. Bolash and she was a great teacher for this course. Just pay attention to the lessons, review at home, study a lot, and TAKE NOTES!!! If you show you care about the course, you will be fine.

The tests have a combination of multiple choice and short answers. If you want to do well, you must pay attention because simply studying the night before won't help. She reviews much of the material in class to ensure that her students do well.

This class is so intriguing. The information taught is new and exciting, I love how there are in-person experiences as well. We go on field trips to places like Tod's Point and the Mianus River, which is always so fun. For tests, all of the material is reviewed in class and we are given a block to solely work on the review guide, which is super helpful.

I'm not going to kid you, this class is hard. But you'll come out of it a better writer and student if you actually put the effort in. Don't use sparknotes and expect a higher than average grade. The kids who complain about this class are probably used to getting easy A's at this school and aren't used to someone who will actually make them work.

Mrs. O'Connor is a genuinely kind, PATIENT (she is so patient, too patient, with people in her classroom who don't shut up), but very respected teacher. No one in the classroom ever tended to dislike her, especially since the last Spanish teacher we had was god awful, one of the worst in the district. I think she knew that we all had dealt with a year or two with this teacher who was so short-tempered and rude, and decided to show us that kindness matters and can change the course of how kids learn and understand Spanish. She always spent time to make sure we talked about things outside of the classroom as well as balance with learning inside the classroom so that when big things happened (a kid went missing for like twelve hours in our class and she let us talk about it rather than pretending it's not a thing, the pandemic happening, etc) we didn't spend the entire class distracted and thinking about it. I genuinely recommend choosing classes with this teacher, especially if... well, if you know you know who, ruined Spanish 1 and Spanish 2 for you. But aside from that teacher, I sincerely hope the best for O'Connor and I hope she stays at GHS for a long time. If you need someone to tell about what you're going through, she'll be there to listen and will stay long after graduation.

Ms. Taal is one of the best teachers I have ever had. She is so helpful, funny, nice and an overall amazing teacher; anyone would be lucky to have her. I only had her for a semester but I can still retain everything she has taught me. She also made sure her students are excelling to the best of their ability. Ms. Taal is a great teacher with a rigorous curriculum but it is not too much to the point where students cannot excel.
