The honor is definitely a hard one and the way she grades the essay is very strict and you cannot expect there is a clear 9/9 example or a clear enough syllabus so, try your best and just have fun :) The hardest part is always the reading I would say cuz there are no clue what they are going to quiz you on, just make very detailed note and think thoroughly about, ok what is the smallest thing you would not notice in this chapter (mostly gonna be in the beginning or by the end) and write that f**k thing down. The vocab is kinda what you could google online and quizlet is always up there for you)))

If you are in her honors English class, make sure to actually read the book. Not just skim, not just spark notes. The questions about the book are always so specific read in between the lines type of thing. You literally cannot put off reading the book for a summary or just listening to the audio book in the background, I mean READ IT. My friend once got a question about what color the pig droppings were. The questions can be ridiculous. But Mrs Jones is great at teaching the material, she’s fun and kind and is very helpful. Make sure to actually participate in her class and I would not recommend arguing with her about your grade... that’ll go no where

She is literally so nice I would say, everyone loves her and she is cute :) Anytime if you need to get help just be there in the first period because she had tons of things to do after that, but she always replies to email quickly, and she will write a lot (helpful). She is someone that might be kind of "old school" she will always know that people are doing something just for rec letter (that is not bad, but leave a good impression or else.. ) The only thing is just calm down in the class everyone is somehow struggling, you are definitely not the only one. Enjoy your year even if it might be spicy, and she has a 97% pass rate in Lang so maybe it will be better :)
