For this class, I say the best advice would be transfer out and find a different teacher. To be succesfull in a class you need a teacher that also wants your success, in this one Henderson does not want your success at all. If you are unable to transfer just try to get an A+ or A on every single assignment and every test. Still, you might end up with a B

For a start, just make sure you take all your notes within this class. In this class, almost all the notes will be through slideshows and will be simple and easy to copy down, however it will almost never be posted online. In terms of tests and quizzes, I would suggest studying and going over everything that you learn within the class since there's a chance it would end up as a question. When you're given homework, I would suggest spreading it all out instead of doing it all at once, as assignments are posted online in chunks, all at once where they're all due on the same day instead of single assignments due on different days. Overall, I think this class is pretty easy to stay afloat as long as you make sure to take all your notes, study and memorize facts for the tests and quizzes, and do your homework on time. Homework in this class weighs way more than tests and quizzes so I would definitely suggest doing your homework to stay on top of your grade.

In this class the most important thing you have to do is pay attention. And that was personally a challenge for me because of having to take it during the Pandemic. You have to pay attention because the workload is a lot, and homework is a big part of your grade. But he does have a late work policy and is pretty relaxed about late work. But I do not believe that you get full credit. If you pay attention in class the assignment will be less difficult. For his test, his questions are usually multiple choice and free response. His tests are not difficult as long as you study and pay attention. Well since we had school online if you had any questions you can stay behind after class. And if you had to make up a test or quiz you would have to join his zoom before class. During class, you have to take notes almost daily, and those notes are what the homework is based on. Overall his class was very informative and personally, it was difficult.

This class is doable as long as you pay attention in his class. Make sure to take notes on the presentations he provides as those will help you for the quizzes you have to take at the end of every unit. Make sure to do all your homework in this class as it is a big chunk of your grade, like not doing one assignment can hurt you. Due to the pandemic, we only wrote two essays in this class, but I don’t know how many there are for regular school, which were graded pretty harshly, so make sure you do as he asks. I rarely asked questions in this class, because he wouldn’t really answer them, and that made me not ask any questions.

I had Mr. Henderson for World History. If you are trying to pass the class, you should pay attention and do all the homework assignments he gives. He does give many assignments, but the information in them is very helpful during tests or quizzes... especially if you weren't paying attention to the lecture. At the end of the semester, he usually gives out more assignments that can help you boost your grade if you're not doing so well or just want to raise your percentage. Overall, Mr. Henderson is a good teacher who just assigns too much work too quickly.

Mr. Henderson is very straightforward, but teaches the different facts in an engaging manner. He is understanding sometimes, but not always. The best advice to handle this class is to work with your peers to understand and memorize concepts and do not procrastinate! There is a lot to learn!

Mr Henderson might seem like a daunting teacher at first, but once you get to know him you realize he cares a lot about your ability to succeed in history. He is flexible, and is always willing to reach out and help you if you are having a hard time. Along with that, despite the class being fast pace he is always open to reviewing old content or answering odd and random questions about US history. Any student who gets Hendersons class is very lucky. As long as you pay attention, respect the teacher, you will have a good successful time in his class.

He is a really intimidating teacher and that contributes to the stressful environment his class creates. However, he is surprisingly understanding with certain things and was pretty accommodating with making changes with virtual learning. He got rid of the final draft grade for our essays and allowed us to just turn in a rough draft that would be graded a lot easier than a final draft. A lot of the work is tedious if you aren't interested and you'll hate the class in the moment but complaining about it with people creates great friends! Also your work ethic or how quickly you get work done really increases and gets better through this class. Just don't slack off because he doesn't accept late work.

This class was very helpful to my knowledge of history. Mr. Henderson did a great job of teaching his students the material using notes, quizzes, and tests. He made sure we perfected almost everything we learned. The class gives students great practice of working in groups for projects and working alongside other students for help. Mr. Henderson is a teacher who always looking to help out his students with essays and history.
