Michael Marinakis

I had Mr. Marinakis for Marine Biology. The class is actually quite easy. However, it’s extremely important to use the assignments given as a way to study for tests and quizzes. He’s also extremely lenient on accepting late work, but don’t take advantage of his kindness because it’s tough to get back on track once you start to slack off. The amount of homework is also very manageable as long as you don’t procrastinate. Each assignment takes around an hour and a half to complete and you have an exceptional amount of time to complete it, so there’s no excuse to not do your work in his class.

Getting an average grade in this class isn't difficult given that it's mostly made up of homework. He gives work to do during class and whatever isn't finished is considered as the homework. The work he gives isn't too bad and he also goes over it so there isn't any confusion. He goes over a lesson, then gives certain pages in the textbook to take notes and answer questions. There aren't many tests or quizzes at the end of chapters, instead there's a final assignment or project. As long as you're consistent with the homework, then your grade will be just fine. Overall, this is a laid back class with an average amount of work.

Mr. Marinakis is a great teacher! And my time in his class I found that studying for his class whenever he would assign or test or something would be very helpful for success. I did however have the online version of his class but it was still fun and interesting. The real-life version I would assume would be 10x better and more fun and I can say that I am satisfied with Mr. Marinakis as my Marine biology teacher.

Mr. Marinakis is a great marine bio teacher he lets us do work, ask him question when we need help and he also gives us homework once a week which is great cause we have other classes to handle. And the test/quizzes in his class are pretty easy. So if you get Mr. Marinakis just know hes a great, fun and easy teacher.

This class is called Marine Biology. I originally signed up for this class because I heard from my peers who had taken this class before me that it's easier than Physics and that there are fun field trips. Unfortunately, COVID-19 came along and everything became virtual and, of course, there's no scheduled field trips. There were barely any tests we got and what made up for it were the google slide projects. Each student had a choice to participate in the dissection of squids and sharks and the teacher did a dissection of both online. Even though we had to take this class via distance learning, I'm glad that I took this class and I highly recommend it to anyone.
