It's like any math class. Copy notes and do the homework, you'll be fine.

AP Calculus AB with Mrs. Vuong was wonderful, and she actually made me like math despite me having a strong dislike of the subject for years before. Like most math classes, homework is assigned every at the end of every class period, and homework questions and notes take up the majority of it. But even with the standard structuring of the class, Mrs. Vuong differs from other math teachers with her ability to communicate topics simply and in ways that are easy for her students to understand. Her notes are clear and a variety of examples are used to help her students better understand the notes given. Personally, I feel that I was able to comprehend the lessons taught in her class more compared to previous math classes, and her way of teaching perfectly fit my learning needs.

This teacher will do very well to teach you the skills you need to succeed on the AP exam. The notes that she provides are incredibly useful and the videos that go with them add to the usefulness. The teacher is also very compassionate about math and will answer any questions you have about it, no matter how hard the thing you ask is, she will do her best. If you do all the homework and review your notes the day before a test, you will do fine on the tests as they are manageable if you study. The teacher is also very social and really makes her classroom a safe and fun place to be. The review worksheets that they give you before the test are incredibly helpful, so make sure to use those as well if you really want to excel in the class.

The key to succeeding in Ms. Vuong's AP Calculus AB class is to do the lessons as they are assigned and to keep up with the homework. Since this is an AP class, it is generally very fast-paced thus skipping a few days of homework can cause it to pile up quickly. Also, Ms. Vuong does go over the homework in class during zoom sessions. So, it is important to have homework questions ready for her before class starts. Ms. Vuong gives very useful tips and advice when it comes to the language and formatting of the AP exam. She's also good at preparing the class for it. I'd highly suggest participating when she asks the class to do practice FRQ and MCQ problems because the intel and feedback she gives for every problem is very helpful. She allows the class to listen to her thought process when she solves problems as she thinks aloud.

This class was very enjoyable because she did a good job of explaining all of the topics. The class itself is difficult because of the topics, but she's good at helping us understand them. She also gives us a lot of review, which is very helpful for the tests. Plus, she gives us time to study and does group activities. She also shows us pictures of her kids and talks about couponing, which are a plus!

Although you wouldn't expect to hear this about an AP math class, this class was truly one of my favorites. The workload was certainly a lot at times, but with grit, it can be done. The material is taught very neatly through videos, and then homework questions and FRQ practices are done in class. Staying on top of the work is vital, as falling behind puts you in a very uncomfortable position for the rest of the year. There is about an hour to three hours of work every day, especially during the first 2/3s of the year. The end of the year is more geared toward doing well on the AP Calc AB exam, so it is accordingly organized. I sincerely like this teacher and appreciate how she tries to accommodate her students. You can sense how she genuinely wishes for all of her students to do well and is willing to go over things we have questions about. This class can be challenging, but if you take notes and do your homework on time, while also using resources to help you out when stuck, you will do well in this class. I also liked how this class starts with a bit of interaction where we talk about our days and the like. It sets a nice tone for the rest of the period.
