I had him for the 2D animation class and overall my experience with him was great. Even though due to covid and everything being online we weren't about to create too many animations it was still a fun learning experience. He was always really flexible with us, always making sure that we're on the right track to finishing our animations. He explains how certain things worked really well and was always open to answering our questions and or giving us feedback. Overall my time in his class was great and I'm happy that it was fun even during online school.
One piece of advice for his class is to really pay attention to when he's teaching, because what he teaches can actually be really interesting. A lot of his projects actually make good use what he teaches in terms of 2-D Animation. Also, when he assigns projects, it is best to get them started, as when you get near the due date, you will realize that you may not have enough time. This can result you rushing your projects if the scope is too big and you may have to stay up. I would also take his suggestions of spending some time out of school to work on your projects for less stress, because it helped me a lot.
Overall I enjoyed 2D Animation with Mr. Dimaano. At first, I thought there would be more animating but at first, we learned the basics and didn't draw too much. Then afterward we started to get into drawing and then animating. We didn't take any tests or quizzes, instead, we did projects which were fun. We got to choose the story and what we wanted to show, he gave us some requirements like how many movements or if it was any type of animating or 2D animation with paper cut-outs and how long it needed to be or if it didn't have a time limit. Also, he was very nice and his assignments were easy to understand, he gave us a lot of time to do the projects, he also gave us some free time and his class wasn't hard and was easy to get a good grade
