really pay attention when he goes over diagrams + quizzes (these'll help on the quizzes). Also, try on the writing assignments (usually you get 100% just for effort so don't stress) but worry more about quizzes!

This class is extremely hard. Prepare yourself for a ton of self-learning and memorization. A positive aspect of this class is that Ms. Cayabyab assigns a ton of homework and a ton of quizzes, all of which helps in the long-term. A negative aspect is that you need to self-learn almost everything. Really pay attention in class and don't do anything to get on the teacher's bad side -- just focus on your work and do it right.

Pay attention in class and do your best to follow along! If you don't understand anything Mr. Contreras will always be there to help :) together with the white-board he provides in google classroom. Don't overthink it and fake it till you make it! AP Stats itself is not that easy or harder than you think, it is simply analyzing data and being able to interpret it. There is homework every day, but the solutions are in the back of the textbook just in case you're lost. I can't stress this enough, but I have him 6th period and he makes the class more engaging and less dreading to go home :) He is a very proud father and he goes on random stories and sidequests that I'll never forget. One last thing! SHOOT FOR 5 5's on your AP EXAMS! (make sure one of them is ap stats or you ain't getting that cake). SCARED MONEY don't make MONEY Thank you so much Mr. Contreras! pay attention to the feedback she gives you (it'll help in the class + in life). do as she says, and ask if you're confused about the instructions. try your hardest because she will know if you don't. AP classes can be a bit hard but still manageable (just remember to listen and apply)

Come to class on time, if you want to argue with her be really careful. If you're in a cs class, be careful about what you do on the computers because if she catches you doing something she doesn't like, there will be consequences.

Hedlund is a really REALLY chill guy. He's very nice and understanding, and you can tell that he has a passion for teaching. Do the homework and try to understand it. His class is structured that if you pay attention in his lectures, you'll get an A in the class. Although for Calc AB and Calc BC it's 90% tests, he still tries to make the tests reasonably easy.

Take things into your own hands. It's easy to not pay attention in class and then cram for the tests, but you won't learn much that way. You can sit and play video games every class if you want, but you won't really learn much unless you pay attention and ask questions. Iverson doesn't really assign much homework so you might need to seek out practice yourself to make sure you actually understand everything.

Mr. Jackson is an incredible mentor and English teacher. If you try extra hard on your assignments, you'll be rewarded with a promising grade. Seek out advice on how to improve writing, as not much feedback is given on essays and homework assignments. Really pay attention in class and show that you're willing to improve.

Write down every single thing he says, even if it doesn't make sense. Work backwards from the homework (Chat GPT is a thing now, use it to learn math to come up with your own quick approaches for his tests)

Class is not that hard but select assignments weigh more than most and they can cause your grade to tank. Bringing your grade up can be incredibly difficult since assignments worth the most points are few. You need to do your work on time because late work also drops your grade a lot.

The class is very chill. Do your work and don't stress too much about anything. Most things are graded based on completion. This is one of the most chill AP classes ever, just go with the flow and enjoy it, and if you're taking the AP exam then you'll have to prepare on your own, he doesn't do much to prepare you for it.

Practice things like vocabulary and grammar regularly. If you want to take the AP exam, take things into your own hands because this class will only take you that far. Be ready for big projects, and when you don't have any use that time to review. Be respectful and make friends with any native speakers in your class.
