write notes during class time, she grades off of participation as well

please note the grading of in-class participation; this will not be made clear to you at the start of the school year. you will be graded on 5 instances of participation (answering questions/helping the teacher) a week, and they have weighted a good chunk of the overall grade. 4/5 instances is 80%, 3/5 is 60%, etc. also, show up on time, because she will deduct from the participation grade after a bit.
