Class of 2029
This class is quite a handful and likely will be the hardest period in your 7th-grade year. After almost every major assignment or test, I was sure that I would get a score around the 80s, and I always waited in anticipation for the grades to come out. For all of these assignments, I pulled off a 90 or higher, so there's no use in stressing about the grades she gives. Your friends will likely tell you about how hard the class is and intimidate you, but as long as you put in a lot of effort, she'll recognize it and you will be graded accordingly. The hardest part of the class is near the end of the year when you read the book Tangerine by Edward Bloor. The annotations aren't too hard. You might need to stay up late a couple of nights to catch up, but as long as you don't have any time-consuming extracurriculars, there's no need to worry about it. The grade you get on the annotations really varies from person to person, as I have seen classmates try their best and receive low grades, so make sure to pay extra attention when she gives directions. The essay and the annotations will heavily influence your grade, so honestly, my recommendation is to get the book "Tangerine" by Edward Bloor at the beginning of the school year, read it, and read it thoroughly. You need to analyze the plot very deeply, and think about the choices each character makes, because it's noticing things like these that make or break your essay.

always stay on top of ur work bcuz if u put it off it slowly gets to u (esp annotations, she assigns 13-20 pages a night and it creeps up if u miss even a day). a lot of presentations and projects mostly group so have friends in this class. never ever cheat cuz she always finds out!!!!! even if u think she wont!!! dont copy of ur friends and make it obvious cuz she has common sense,,, if ur a honest student who does their work this is a pretty ez class and dont misbehave

Always be on top of work! She can go quickly, even online and she does make her class somewhat difficult. (She is now Ms. Lu btw)

Make sure to never horse around in this class. There will be days when time pressure is enforced, and those are the most stressful days. Stay after class to finish your writing if necessary, because as the saying goes: "If you stay, you get the A".
