Only do a class with Moshiri if you are motivated. You won't necessarily have homework assignments everyday, but if you don't do her extra problems/practice sheets/plan out memorization well, you will SUFFER on her tests. Test points and homework points are weighted the same, so make sure you do the homework completely and correctly (one graded homework packet per unit usually). PARTICPATE! It may merit extra credit or rounding at the end of the semester!

This class is arduous. There is an exorbitant amount of homework, which she doesn't teach properly. There is a plethora of pointless assignments that don't prepare us for the actualities of her tests. She doesn't understand that us students cannot retain information at the same level as an expert in chemistry can, even if it is a high-level course. She may be sweet at times, but has very little empathy. Any and all comments regarding students' work is purely condescending and is aimed to make us students feel inferior. This class is not suitable if you want to enjoy chemistry -- however, if you want to spend your nights memorizing, then this is for you. Calculate the enthalpy of combustion for 171 grams octane. The answer is the rating she deserves.

This class is EXTREMELY difficult. There is a surplus of heavy mental labor, that comes from poor communication skills from the teacher. There is no sign of assistance given to push the students to succeed. Instead, there is rather a feeling of superiority placed in the class. All in all, the class left me pondering how I should utilize the nugatory information that I had obtained.
