Always do the assigned textbook readings because Mr. Simms will often give pop quizzes on them.
Ms Sklar is unique in her way of teaching English. There's barely any homework (compared to other teachers) and her lessons are spontaneous and intriguing. The class covers 3-4 books throughout the year and tests are tedious multiple choice exams. Make sure to work hard on essays and research projects as they account for much of your grade and there's only a few essays that you'll write all year. There are a couple of speeches/group projects too. Hopefully you found this review helpful, best of luck!
