Pay attention in class, and do some work out of class. Most of the time, all of the material you learn in class is kindergarten standard, so take the first semester to read ahead in your science textbook. You’ll spend a lot of time on energy and color, which if your paying a little bit of attention, should be pretty easy. The hardest part is the chemistry unit, so study for that test. Ms. Luo can be a bit slow at grading so don’t worry if your class grade goes up and down, it will eventually even out.
