Just participate, practice your parts(if you are not good with it) and have fun. Just don't fool around like I did when I was in 8th grade.

Although I’ve only been in her multimedia art class, and not video production, broadcast, or yearbooks, the best advice I can give is to just let your imagination go wild, ask questions, try things out. There’s maybe one “test” (even though it’s really not a test), and everything that you will ever need for her class is on the updates page of her schoology course, so check there often!!

Make sure you take notes about all the new words you learn because you will most likely be using them the next day and are expected to know them.

- ask questions! - Ms. Franklin genuinely wants you to do well, just show you care a little - If co-teaching with Mr. Torre, Show them both that you appreciate them - Small things make a big difference, help put up/stack chairs at the end of class, if there’s scrap paper on the ground then throw it away, etc. - You don’t need to actively take notes during the lessons (but if it helps you, then definitely take notes) - Sometimes things won’t be on schoology, so just email her and she can help you

Get a notebook and take notes there, not in a sheet of paper. Just submit your work on time-- this class is not a complex one. Just really study for your quizzes and you will be fine. This is an easy A class if you participate.

It can be a pretty hard class, especially if social studies/history isn’t your strong point. Definitely read your textbook at home if you don’t understand something, and ask him the next day if you still don’t. He has a big thing about “no laptops unless it’s a work period”, meaning don’t be doing things on your laptop if he’s speaking, if your watching a history movie, etc.

Pay attention in class, and do some work out of class. Most of the time, all of the material you learn in class is kindergarten standard, so take the first semester to read ahead in your science textbook. You’ll spend a lot of time on energy and color, which if your paying a little bit of attention, should be pretty easy. The hardest part is the chemistry unit, so study for that test. Ms. Luo can be a bit slow at grading so don’t worry if your class grade goes up and down, it will eventually even out.

Study nightly. Make sure to go through all the previous units while studying too. Pop quizzes are common. Make sure to do your work and you'll be good.
