Dr. Woodward is the most down to Earth and chill teacher you will probably have in your entire time at Palisades Charter High School. Every class starts pretty much the same, he'll go over what you'll be doing for the day for 5-10 minutes, and then he'll let you be on your own. There is no homework unless you don't finish your assignment in class. and he gives more than an ample amount of time to do the work. The only work you do outside of school is studying for a Quiz (this is 60% of your grade, if you study the study guides you will get an A every time I promise ;) but don't procrastinate) which is once every 2-4 weeks and projects which are there are very few of. His class is a really zen and quiet place so don't be loud and obnoxious. Don't cheat. This is a personal suggestion but he typically posts assignments either the day before or a couple of days before they are due so if you have work from other classes or tests you need to study for, do his work ahead of time it's really quick and easy and when you get to his class the next day you will have already done the assignment and you have 90min to do whatever you'd like but USE YOUR TIME WISELY. He's one of my favorite teachers, you will have a lot of fun in his class with different labs and dissections. I always walk into his class with a smile and leave with a smile.
Be prepared to learn the concepts on your own and do a lot of busywork.
Woodward doesn't really teach or engage students. He makes google slides presentations and those days pay attention and take notes on all of it. The lectures usually contain word for word test questions so just study these. Be respectful and nice to him and he'll treat you the same. I would talk to him and joke around during class (you have a lot of free time) and he rounded me both semesters without me asking. He's really chill and the class is pretty easy just study for tests and do the assignments. DON'T CHEAT it'll backfire. he caught someone in my class cheating and it changes how he sees you the rest of the year (rightfully so). It's not worth the risk, if you feel unprepared for a test either suck it up and take it or talk to him he's very understanding.
