My only piece of advice is to just do the work. It’s interesting, it’s engaging, and the stuff you learn in her class is actually important and applicable to real life outside of high school.
To do well on Unit Exams and finals review all previous quizzes and tests from the Unit/semester. The review packets he posts are helpful but DO THE HARD PROBLEMS. ALWAYS ask if you have questions whether in class or at lunch, Aguilar may seem kind of cold at first but he is so willing and able to help if you put in effort.
Read the textbook, it may seem tedious but it helps a lot and it's pretty interesting and take notes. He gives tons of optional credit opportunities to do as many as you can. The quizzes aren't too difficult and the vocab quizzes are the only opportunities for extra credit (ex. 3/0 instead of 3/3) so focus on doing well on vocab quizzes rather than multiple-choice (reading the book helps a lot). Tests are curved but don't rely not eh curve to do well in the class. He does assign more written work than other teachers but its not a crazy amount and I recommend collaborating with peers to complete the work. As long as you learn the material its an easy class.
