For Honors Chem: It's a hard class, but not impossible. The teacher calls on people randomly, so be prepared at any time. Pay attention when she goes over the tests in class, because she explains the answers and it's really helpful. She recycles questions for the final exam. The midterm is harder than the final, and all the tests put together. The tests are on a curve, but don't rely on it, because there's always that one person who gets 100% and ruins the curve. The teacher has a policy where the midterm replaces your lowest grade, but otherwise, it doesn't count, but don't take advantage on that because I know like, two people who passed the midterm. The midterm also replaces any exams you were absent for, so don't be absent for the exams. Also, learn how to sew. There's usually a multiple choice section and a short answer/math section on each exam, so pace yourself. There are lots of labs, which is a super good place to get points because they're student graded. Make friends in that class, because you can choose your partners for most of the labs, but don't worry if your partner is bad because you do the write up on your own.

For AP Bio: - The only hard writing in this class will be notes at your own discretion - Make sure you are paying attention from the very beggining - She will give a lot of handouts, if you don't turn them in on time usually she will give you full credit, but only if its not frequent - Some pop quizzes are based on handouts, usually, things that are not a requirement to turn in. I would do the optional handouts bc they are nearly identical to the quizzes. - Her tests are hard, its not the assigned work that kills your grade but the tests. Make sure you study the book, and don't procrastinate. She gives you the test dates at least 3 weeks prior. But it is a lot of studying.

Hearn really does do her best to train you for the AP test. So take the test if you take this class, even if this class isn't your best. I believe that Hearns test was actually harder than the AP test, but the result was that it prepared you extremely well. Hearns methods do work, you end up learning the material, but it is extremely harsh and can be too much for some people. But her methods are effective. If you get a bad grade on a test, she probably going to tell you to study more. So i wouldn't try to get her to change your test score.
