For CSA get the work done sooner rather than later. It is an at-your-own pace class, and you get the entire year's worth of assignments on day one to do as you please. But it will stack up quickly so do not procrastinate doing it until the last minute. The first 3 lessons are easy and give the misconception that the coursework is easy. It gets hard by lesson 4, But Mr. Braskin allows you to make up and review quizzes in order to get your grade up. Overall Mr. Braskin is an amazing teacher who tries his best to make sure you can get the best grade you possibly can in his class.

For freshman biology, the labs are super easy and there's an option to opt out of the dissections. All the information that is on the test is on the study guide. After the test you can look at the questions and he'll show you where it was on the study guide— he really pulls every single question from there. You should take notes in class even though he says you don't have to, it makes it easier to find the information, but he does post his slide decks on Google Classroom. Sometimes there's quizzes based on textbook readings, but I never spent more than 15 minutes on homework for this class a night.

The class is wonderful! I learned so much and enjoyed the subject. It was taught so well, and explanations were given to a super understandable degree. It was a fun class because the teacher has a funny sense of humor too. It can only be a hard class if you don't take notes, but the teacher makes taking them very easy.

- EVERY test except for the final is worth 100 points, so a chapter exam is worth as much as a grammar quiz - just do the homework and pay attention and you are bound to get an A - super easygoing, don't stress

For Honors Chem: It's a hard class, but not impossible. The teacher calls on people randomly, so be prepared at any time. Pay attention when she goes over the tests in class, because she explains the answers and it's really helpful. She recycles questions for the final exam. The midterm is harder than the final, and all the tests put together. The tests are on a curve, but don't rely on it, because there's always that one person who gets 100% and ruins the curve. The teacher has a policy where the midterm replaces your lowest grade, but otherwise, it doesn't count, but don't take advantage on that because I know like, two people who passed the midterm. The midterm also replaces any exams you were absent for, so don't be absent for the exams. Also, learn how to sew. There's usually a multiple choice section and a short answer/math section on each exam, so pace yourself. There are lots of labs, which is a super good place to get points because they're student graded. Make friends in that class, because you can choose your partners for most of the labs, but don't worry if your partner is bad because you do the write up on your own.

Mr. Hughes is the goat who made me love calc. He is super organized and has a weekly schedule of 3 days of notes, 1 review day, and a quiz every friday. He is super helpful and clearly lays out what is on the tests. Always posts his notes which he screen records and does digitally which is really nice to keep track of. Gives us a 5 minute phone break in the middle of class which is always nice. Nothing unexpected on his tests, just pay attention to the notes and ask him questions when you need to. He has a very dry sense of humor and I'm pretty sure he's putting on an act to make it seem like he is more serious than he actually is iykyk.

Double space all your material, draw arrows, use units— all these things will get you docked points if you don't do it, and the class is mostly point based, so every point counts. Listen super close to everything that the teacher says in class, even if it's about whales or Formula 1 cars, because sometimes it comes up on the tests. If he assigns videos, take notes on them, because he often gives a pop quiz the next day based on the videos, and you're allowed to use the notes most of the time. The homework is usually harder or similar to the tests, so if you go through the homework, the tests won't surprise you. I'd highly recommend making a study group for this class so you have people to work through the homework problems with, and don't get too behind on homework. The labs are pretty fun though!

He prepares you well for the AP HuG test. He spends most classes most days lecturing, make sure you pay close attention to these lectures and note down each detail. The easiest way to do this is to make digital copies of his lecture slides on Kami or a similar app from google classroom, then take notes about the details he lectures about on top of those slides, instead of writing down what is on the slides and missing out on those details. If you are in semester two, being prepared for the AP exam might be trickier as he tends to run out of time near the end and rushes through the content in Unit 4 (he condenses the last few units of the AP material into that one big unit, unit 4). Make sure you stay on top of studying, and do some self studying to cover any details he may have missed, especially for the agriculture unit. He generally explains content well, but make sure you ask questions.
