ask for help early on, he might seem harsh but he wants you to understand the material

Pay attention to in class instruction because it's super helpful, and always do the assigned reading at night. For the unit where you pick a book, East of Eden is super long but a really good read, highly recommend.

Mrs. Lee is one of the kindest and most thoughtful teachers I've ever had. She really care about whether or not you understand the material and is always happy to help. I would honestly give her 5000/5 stars because she's the first math teacher I've ever had that I really liked and makes the students feel like they're in a safe learning space. She is AMAZING and if you're able to get her class then you're really lucky. Even if the content is difficult she will help you grasp it and make it clear if you put in the effort. Love her Would definitely recommend making an effort to talk to her or each out if you need clarification on a topic or help with a problem. She really encourages learning and being able to come to her with questions

READ THE TEXTBOOK and LISTEN to what he says. Not doing any of the reading or paying attention and simply making educated guesses may get you a good grade first quarter, but it'll bite you in the butt second quarter when it's all DBQ tests. Also, note that the exam is not the focal point of the class so you'll probably want to buy a prep book and reach out for extra help if you're aiming for a 5.

Make sure to read through the textbook thoroughly, because you will definitely not learn anything during class time.
