Make sure that you study everything in his unit review guide. The test questions are really weird, so you need some common sense for those.

I had Mr. Aucoin for AP Music Theory. The class is pretty smooth sailing and there is a lot of free time. The tests are inconsistent and have varying material. Make sure to know nonharmonic tones because he tests them a lot. Make sure that you practice some sight singing on your own because we don't practice that enough.

Heavily class participation class, it is only lecture base we never do anything but lectures. Notes are in his format, his tests are MCQ only. Tests are straightforward if you have read the book in prior and paid attention in class

If you're taking Ms. Carattini's class for english your going to either have the time of your life or the complete opposite. She teaches both honors and cp english courses for 11th graders and based on my experience(honors), she clearly enjoyed and treated her honors students much better than her cp kids. But regardless of which course you take, know that you'll have to do a lot of writing in the class everyday. But it isn't hard or boring at all. Every day when you enter her class, she will give a prompt for students to write down in their own notebook. The prompts are always fun and interesting so it makes participating really fun. Just know that although she always takes volunteers and never picks people on the spot, participation is EXTREMELY important to her. She has a dot system where she puts a dot on her seating chart every time you participate. Most of the time participation is capped at 90 which can make it hard to do well in that category. Also note, she will take your phone away if she sees it (but she has charging ports in the back if your phone dies lol). She also gives vocab quizzes which can start off quite simple, but as more words are added, the longer and harder they can become. The word's aren't challenging, but the sheer amount makes them a challenge. Also she loves to give presentation projects and always makes activities where you have to participate in front of the class. We don't get too many essays on the books we are reading but we do get an end of the book test which is really easy for the most part. Overall the class is extremely fun to be in if you love to talk and have conversation with your peers. Otherwise she may not be the teacher for you. No matter what though, you will definitely learn something every day.

Make sure you're participating in class as often as you can. I had Evans for Spanish 3, so tests/quizzes were starting to get more difficult. You should study unless you're very confident that you know everything.

There are actually no tests in this class, but doesn't mean that it's easy. You have to be a very good writer, unfortunately ChatGPT can go around this and most of the time he will notice. Just make sure your writing is extremely polished and you try and think outside the box, this will probably be your first actually hard essay-writing class.

Make sure that you read the material and study well for his tests. He does give pop quizzes, but if you have read the text, you should get nothing below a 90. Study the vocab and make sure you read the books. He gives a lot of homework, so keep up.

Be careful! You DO NOT want this teacher. There are several reasons. I will try my best to list them all. 1. Forgetfulness: She is extremely forgetful and disorganized. She loses assignments easily but then gives the student a zero for not turning in the assignment. This lowers the grade and makes students very frustrated. 2. Tests: She says that a GOOD class average on a test for her Living Earth Class is 72%. She said that is an exceptionally well class average. The reason for that is this: her tests are extremely vague and uselessly hard. Most teachers quiz students on the general gist of the unit and the cores of the lessons taught. But what she does is that she mentions a tiny part of the unit once, and never talks about it again. An extremely minor detail that most teachers will not have you know. But then she goes ahead and fills the test with these really small details, instead of what the students SHOULD know about the unit. 3. Lectures: She often goes into lectures in class (which is not a bad thing at all). But the problem is that she rambles on and on about something which we do not need to know about, and skips over the core content (which is then put on the test). She is extremely vague about anything she is trying to teach. Her lectures are dull, boring, and uninformative. it is easier to just study from a tutor or another class because she does not teach the content that you should know. When lecturing, she goes into topics that some other class is learning, yet not focusing on our class. Those are just a few of the many reasons why she has spoiled my high school experience so far. I really do not wish for any student to go through her class.

I had Mr. Peralta for double accel. His class was my favorite and it was super fun. I like the challenging math problems he gives because it is something that doesn't happen in most school math courses. He has a very unique teaching style. He is always in the front lecturing and is a very hardworking and dedicated teacher. The exams are usually a mix of easy and challenging problems but they aren't to bad. The midterms and finals are usually easier. Good luck!

I had Mr. Rath for English 10 Honors. His class is pretty fun and is very discussion based. The first unit, the Joy Luck Club Unit, has a lot of homework. The other units are much more smooth sailing. The first day is quite interesting. You don't write many essays in this class. Most of the time we participate in discussions about what we read. The quizzes are detailed based and short answer/multiple choice while the tests are in class essays, Good luck!

As long as you pay attention in class and do the homework, you ahould be able to get an A in the class. If you're paying attention in class and doing most of the homework you shouldn't have to spend more than 5 minutes studying for a test. Also make sure to talk a lot and express your opinion even if it's controversial and make sure to have fun.

I would recommend studying before his tests. Make sure you're taking good notes, because almost everything Robinson talks about will be important. Just show that you are trying your best in his class, and you will be on his good side (he might even try and help you succeed).

Always stay on top of your homework. You cannot afford to lose points in that category as the tests and quizzes are very challenging. This is, after all, a DOUBLE accelerated course. Also, to prepare for her tests you do NOT want to just memorize formulas and rules. Make sure you completely understand not only the information, but how to utilize it. There WILL BE material covered in earlier units on the tests, so always review previous lessons to jog back your memory. Lots of practice is required if you truly wish to succeed in this class. Good luck!

If you get Mr. Soria as your next teacher you should throw a party. His class is amazing and super fun. His lectures usually contain videos and he makes his class engaging. He lets you use your phones during read period. The tests are pretty easy, and the critical thinking assessments are sometimes fun. He grades a bit hard on projects, so make sure you do good on those. He usually doesn't give too much homework but when he does he gives it all at once, which is sometimes stressful. Overall, his class is very fun and you will love his class. Good luck!

Really pay attention in class and take good notes. Ms. Tseng teaches really fast and moves on quickly so make sure you get everything down. You probably will have to invest more time in this class (especially if taking double accelerated) to keep up. Her tests are usually the toughest part of the course. She gives one test per two units and each test only has 10 questions, so know the material well and do practice problems from the textbook. Homework is manageable as long as you understand all the concepts.

Stay on pace with your homework (don't leave it to the last day before it's due) and you won't need to stress at all about this class. Form study groups with your friends as this class is a lot easier when you study with other people. There also a few group projects such as making posters.
