Nothing. All good.

Work hard and ask questions. Lots of formulas to memorize, quizzes and tests are similar to the packets. Majority of students are very competent and motivated, don't let that deter you from feeling inferior and giving it your all. Talk with your teammates and be confused and experience that moment of eureka together. BE CONFIDENT BY BEING PREPARED. You are expected to check on Canvas and myPLTW regularly.

shes very picky about code, so she takes points off for things like "not writing the correct kind of comments"
Class of 2020
Easy for APES. She knows what she is talking about. Her tests are just from the curriculum bank. Ask previous periods for one question and you get the whole test. Take notes, pay attention on the field trips

Keep the classroom very neat and tidy. Do the homework first, then ask friends or look online if you still need help, as most of the homework assignments have fully completed guides online. Take the homework seriously too, as homework counts for 40% of your grade in the class. If you don't do well on the projects, do not worry, as projects only count for 20% of your grade. It's not worth it to spend too much time after school working on projects like the marble sorter; how well your sorter sorts marbles is only a fifth of your grade in the entire project, Same for quizzes; they may seem to impact your grade a lot at any given time, but one test is worth more than fives quizzes combined. Study hard for the actual tests and do practice problems online, you will not regret it one bit. The first semester final is very easy, but the second semester final (which is a nation-wide standardized test) is not easy. Luckily, she curves it a lot because we don't cover one of the units in class that is covered on the test. More important than all of this, though, is focusing on gaining technical skills and knowledge of the systems you will be working with in the class. The knowledge I gained in this class has helped me in mathematics, chemistry, and (soon) physics, so try to learn, and don't just try to game the system (it doesn't work)!

I had Ms. Wheaton for Intro to Computer Science and it went well. She also teaches engineering. In the class, we started off with a website called vr. vex, where we first coded our virtual robots, then we started off with ROBOTC, another virtual robot program, and physical robot program. It was easy to code as we learn from some videos as well as from the teacher herself. For the physical robots, we needed partners to do those. My robot partner, he didn't help much as he wasn't good at coding but only good at building the robot. But for me, I know how to do everything in class. I enjoyed her class. It was fun.
