Class of 2020
At least for seniors, English class for Mr. De Martini seems a bit easy to do well in. Your grade will stay around an A so long as you do homework and listening/speaking assignments well. This is the bulk of the work he assigns. Tests are easy, as they're based on the quizzes, which themselves are fairly easy given that students are allowed to recap lessons for a given time.

Class of 2020
Mr. De Martini is one of the most fun English teachers I've had in a while. He tries to make lessons, especially reading, enjoyable and entertaining so that seniors in particular don't lose interest. I suppose doing your homework helps best to improve grades, as well as quizzes. C/o 2020 got lucky around second semester due to covid halting our learning, but still his projects were never bothersome provided they were done on time.
