I had mrs. chan freshmen year, she is very nice and kind I loved her class it was always fun and you can tell mrs. chan puts a lot of time and effort in all her lessons. The class is relatively easy if you stay on top of all your work and don't procrastinate.

From my experience, he does not teach well, so you have to ask questions/go to office hours if you don't understand something. He uses a whole bunch of variables in his examples when explaining a concept, which makes the topic even more confusing. He also shows new concepts on Google Slides, which is disadvantageous, especially during distance learning. (ex: 4^2 ; 5xy^6+34y^3+34z). Your learning in his class is up to you and I highly recommend doing Khan Academy outside of school to get extra practice and learn the material. Mr. Mallon is a chill and nice but he has a bit of a monotone.

You're better off reading from the textbook than learning from him since all he does is assign textbook pages. He doesn't answer questions clearly and he rushes through the presentation. Do a little extra studying from outside sources as a lot of the test questions have nothing to do with the presentations that he barely posts.

the class was extremely engaging, don't be afraid to ask for clarification, do the work on time and engage in activities and you will find the class extremely fun! She was a great teacher and I have found social studies being my favorite subject even now.
