You need to not act like a drugged-up raccoon if you want to get anywhere in his class. It isn't hard, but you have to practice the music or you will suck. Pay attention in class, because it's hard to get stuff online. Marching band: You can join without having played music, big time commitment, and the kids (mostly drumline) need more discipline. It's student-lead, so that plays a factor into progress throughout the year. The class is IMO the worst behaved class 80% of the time then they somehow pull their stuff together in the last 10% to get a mediocre piece of work. Pay attention to marching basics

During my freshman year, I had a very concerning experience in John Cargile’s class that I believe should be taken seriously. On several occasions, I felt that I was spoken to in a disrespectful and unprofessional way. There were moments where he directed rude and offensive comments toward me that made me feel embarrassed and uncomfortable in front of other students. Being spoken to like that by a teacher created a negative classroom environment and made it difficult for me to feel safe or confident participating in class. A teacher should model respect and professionalism, especially when addressing students or handling problems in the classroom. Instead, the way I was treated made me feel discouraged from asking questions or engaging in the lesson. Experiences like this can have a real impact on a student’s confidence and ability to focus on learning. I believe that situations where students feel disrespected or called offensive names by a teacher should be addressed seriously by the school. Students deserve to be treated fairly and respectfully by the adults responsible for their education. I hope that this feedback helps bring attention to the issue so that future students can have a more supportive and respectful classroom experience.

If "gigachad" had a physical embodiment Mr. Cargile would be it. Very fun teacher as long as you aren't a pudwacker in his class.
