You need to not act like a drugged-up raccoon if you want to get anywhere in his class. It isn't hard, but you have to practice the music or you will suck. Pay attention in class, because it's hard to get stuff online. Marching band: You can join without having played music, big time commitment, and the kids (mostly drumline) need more discipline. It's student-lead, so that plays a factor into progress throughout the year. The class is IMO the worst behaved class 80% of the time then they somehow pull their stuff together in the last 10% to get a mediocre piece of work. Pay attention to marching basics

You will fail if you don't study. She provides a way to study, and I would recommend doing it that way, but you should do whatever works as long as you aren't just staring intensely at notes. Study, take a break, then study again. This is the hardest class I have this year. It's become notorious for being hard, with the term "yangbanged" being used when you get stomped on a test or quiz. The amount of homework is enough to give me scoliosis, but it's necessary to pass the class. Make friends with the people sitting within a few chairs of you, because you'll always have them as lab/group partners.
