The quizzes and tests are extremely difficult and he treats proper sig fig calculation as if it was the holy grail. Don't rely on Mr. Devor actually teaching you, so make sure to watch YouTube videos and maybe hire a tutor for chemistry. The notes that he provides are very confusing to understand so don't always rely on them and you should instead ask other students in the class for help. You most likely will not receive the best grade on the tests or quizzes so make sure you do your logs and projects to the best of your ability.

The quizzes are mostly calculation problems and are not multiple choice. He grades significant figures very strictly, whether it'd be an incorrect power of ten, unit of measurement, or more or fewer sig figs. His quizzes and tests are very hard, and looking at youtube videos online has helped me understand the material significantly more than what he offers in class.

Try to have a tutor or side help, he gives too much work and grades EXTREMELY hard. He rarely teaches, so try your best to understand the “material”.

The tests are incredibly hard in this class, so it's recommended to ALWAYS read and study the given reading assignments.
