There is a huge gap between Spanish 3/4, 5/6 and AP Spanish. As a non native speaker, AP Spanish was way more helpful if you wanted to learn AND speak Spanish. After taking Spanish 3/4, 5/6, I still couldn’t speak Spanish at all. Valinhas actually prepares you for the ap exam but he is very tedious and too organized. The tests and essays were difficult. The homework revolves around speaking and writing. There’s an assignment given everyday. His teaching style is also similar to Joya’s where he uses a timer and moves on to the next assignment when it goes off. As long as you do all the homework on time and study for the tests you’ll pass. Participation is required and he seats you next to a native speaker which is helpful.
