One of the most important parts of this class is learning to think critically about texts, then translate that into your writing. The feedback from assignments and essays is incredibly helpful. As an AP course, there is a lot of essay writing (including in class essays). This seems annoying at the time, but it sets you up so well to go into AP English 30 and beyond with good writing skills.

To do well in this class you need to understand the concepts of the material. It is not about the memorization it is whta you noticed and understanding. Pay attention to class discussions because it will help with the short answer portion on tests and the way she explains everything just makes sense.
