He's really really nice and loves active participation. You can pass the course easily, even if the material is difficult to grasp, asking him questions is a sure proof way to do well. Sometimes class can be messy and you might feel like there's no plan but you'll still have a great time.

I took him for his Into the Wild class. In the first half of the semester he gives u stories to read and then you answer questions worth 5% in groups so try to take the class with a friend. The second half of the semester, he makes u read a book and its pretty boring but as long as you go to class and write down what he says you dont even need to read the book. The midterm essay is a personal story and the final one is an adventure you would like to go on after cegep. He doesnt grade until the very last day so be prepared for that. All in all really nice teacher and easy class.

Took Intro to College English with him. You get a course pack with stories, poems and essays that you do throughout the semester. Overall the class was decently fun, you had two big essays to write and the rest was some in-class tests about material you have studied. He allows the use of technology and there are even school computers you can use in his class. The orals were not nerve-racking because he made you do them in groups instead of in front of the whole class. I would recommend him if you are prepared to give time outside of class to do readings on the course material, not a hard class to pass.

Try to participate and be fluent and natural in any presentations/essays, and you'll do well. Be prepared to not be able to view your work until a long time. Pretty easy to get a good grade as long as you listen and put effort into it. The teacher is very nice and gives helpful advice for your exams.

Had him for his poetry class, absolutely fantastic teacher, as long as you are somewhat fluent in English and are a little familiar with poetry you will do fantastic.
