The Review Sheets and the webworks are VERY similar to tests and final exam. PRIORITIZE those over the textbook (stewart if youre doing calc) because it is usually harder. Make sure to understand the proofs, but you will not have to memorize them.

Best teacher at Vanier hands down.

I took Discrete Mathematics, pay attention to the material taught in class and read up on any material you may not have understood during the lectures. Understanding the basics such as the rules and identities at the beginning of the course and especially when doing proof is a must.

An amazing class and an amazing teacher, he made Calculus II really easy; He wants his students to succeed and he explains stuff quite well, if you do the webworks and some of the problems he assigns in the textbook, you will do well in the class. If you struggle/don't understand a concept, just ask him and he will happily help you. His exams are not difficult if you practice beforehand and do most of the exercices he gives. Amazing experience with him, would 100% recommend him!

I took Stephen Newbigging during in discrete mathematics, he is by far my favorite teacher that I've had in the 2 years at Vanier. I wasn't a student getting 100% on every assignment, test or exam. Stephen strives to make the class material as enjoyable as possible and understands that it may not be the easiest. If you are unsure about anything, he always tries to help and offer times to come in after class to understand concepts discussed in class. He, in my opinion, is the definition of a great teacher.

He was my favorite teacher last semester. He's great. If you get a chance to be with him in Cal, take it.
