Do the assignments!!! They help a lot when it comes to properly understanding the theory and the exam questions are almost always based on stuff you did on the assignments. No need to note everything down in the theory class. Focus on really understanding what he is explaining instead of frantically writting everything down like a machine because more often than not you will never read those notes again.

This teacher is one of the best Prog teachers at Vanier. I had him for Programming 1 and Programming 2 and I scored over 95 in both classes. He is so dedicated to teaching and will do anything to make sure you succeed in what you do. Don't ever be shy to ask for help with him he is insanely good at explaining and very patient when it comes to debugging your code with you. All in all, he might look a bit confused sometimes but don't let that fool you. He is very knowledgable and one of the best teachers I ever had.
